Waltham Disgrace
The pothole situation in Rayleigh becomes ever more ridiculous.
Waltham Road is possibly the worst road in our town for potholes – the photos above just shown two of them. We have obviously been trying to get them fixed.
However our colleagues Chris and June Lumley have been told by County Highways that none of the potholes in Waltham Road are going to be dealt with – because they are all only ‘category 4′ (low priority)
Common sense would suggest that if you have a road full of category 4 holes, sooner or later you are going to have a road full of more dangerous holes , and it would be cost-effective to repair the whole road now.
People pay their council tax, and expect their roads to be looked after. That’s not unreasonable is it?
