Motorists Be Warned – A13 Closure At Weekend!

One of our readers has asked us to mention the following warning from the Echo:

MOTORISTS are preparing themselves for the worst as part of the A13 is set to be closed for 48 hours.
_
Both directions of the busy dual carriageway will be shut off to traffic between the Pitsea flyover and Sadlers Farm roundabout from 5am on April 28 to 5am on April 30, while contractors demolish the old Church Road Bridge.
_
The bridge, which passes over the A13 and links Church Road to London Road, is being torn down in place of a new bridge which will allow the A13 carriageways to widen.
_
Concerns have been raised that this will lead to gridlocks on surrounding roads, as drivers will be forced to seek alternative routes through the A128, A127, A176, A1245 and A130 while work is carried out. ….

Probably a good weekend to do your shopping locally..
