Power Up is a weekend of workshops and networking to empower people to make a difference.
Find out how to use the system effectively to improve your environment and find out about how proposed changes to the planning system may affect your community. Learn how to confidently use legal and planning knowledge and share your ideas with others. Gain the tools, confidence and contacts to help make your community a cleaner, healthier, fairer place to live. You will leave feeling inspired, energised and well connected, ready to apply your new skills to your important local issues.
Who is Power Up for?
You don?t need to be an expert, but you will be active and keen to make a difference. Power Up is particularly for people working in disadvantaged areas and with groups whose voices are not usually heard in decision making. Can power up give me any information on how to encourage Highways Dept. to move more quickly or even move at all on the issue I raise? Nearly 3 years and still no nearer any help for people crossing the road at Lubards Farm.
They managed to find the money to resurface the road outside Lubbards. Shame they couldn’t have put a crossing in at the same time.
I did ask if the large hole at the bottom of ferndale could be done at the same time. The workers even parked over the big hole but guess what??
