Heather Glynn, the irrepressible former Hawkwell Councillor, who was an active part of the Liberal Democrat administration of the 1990’s, has passed away. Heather diligently chaired committees and respresented her Hawkwell residents for many decades, both on the Parish Council and Rochford District Council. She lived the heart of her beloved Hawkwell Ward on a smallholding in Magnolia Road with her late husband Ken, raising her family and looking after a menagerie of geese and animals. Although a Liberal Democrat and later a Conservative, Heather was always quite independent. In later years she moved into sheltered housing close to the centre of Rochford and could often be seen whizzing around the pavements on her mobility scooter greeting the many residents she knew as friends.
