An interesting article in the Echo:
A ?3million cash pot to renovate a busy road junction has gone missing.
District and parish councillors in Rochford believed upgrades to the Sutton Ford bridge, near to the entrance to Purdeys Industrial Estate, were due to get under way this month.
But they have been told the funding is not available, despite Essex County Council chiefs promising the money was ring-fenced and could not be used for anything else.
Tory district councillors Keith Gordon and Gillian Lucas-Gill have launched a campaign, alongside Rochford Parish Council chairman John Bond, to track down the missing millions.
